Mommy Minute: Traveling Alone

When Mothers Travel Alone
Mommy Minute

Mommy Minute

Moms give everything to their families. They spend every waking moment doing for, thinking about and trying to be the best mother and partner they can be. The thought of being a mother traveling alone is something that becomes foreign and unthinkable.

It is easy for us as mothers to give so much of ourselves that we forget to have our own life. Our children get used to having their mother there 24/7 they sometimes can’t cope when mommy does something on her own.  This is something I did not want my children to go through. I also didn’t want to find it one day where I had nothing in my life just for me. This is most of the reason I started this blog, and also the reason I decided to attend the Women in Travel Summit in Quebec City.

To be honest it took time for me to adjust to being alone. It took time for me to adjust to being without my kids, without my partner. As a mother who travels a lot with her children, the fact I was traveling and didn’t have to have my purse full of candy, toys and medications was foreign and enjoyable.

Traveling Moms Remember:

There is nothing wrong with traveling alone and being a mother traveling alone is not only fun it’s a blessing. Every mother needs to take time to recharge. Although it may be difficult to leave your kids, your family will be happy you took time to take care of you.
